A visitor guide app for Tashkent's Japanese Garden, built together with the agency RedMedia. It runs in the browser as a PWA, opens without internet and speaks three languages.
Challenge
The Japanese Garden is one of the places tour groups visit in Tashkent. Visitors want opening hours, ticket prices and the tea ceremony schedule, and many of them want it in English, not only Russian or Uzbek.
Tourists don't always have mobile data, so the information had to open offline too.
What we built
We built a PWA on Nuxt 3: you can add it to your home screen, and after the first visit it works offline. No app store download, just a link.
Content lives in Django + DRF. Garden staff update opening hours, tickets and ceremony descriptions through the admin in three languages: Russian, Uzbek and English.
Outcome
- 01PWA that works without internet
- 02Three languages: Russian, Uzbek, English
- 03Opening hours, tickets, tea ceremonies
- 04Built in 2024 together with RedMedia
