Location Converter turns coordinates from one format into another and exports the results to Excel or CSV. It understands Telegram location shares and works in Uzbek, Russian and English.
Challenge
Coordinates arrive in different shapes: decimal degrees, degrees-minutes-seconds, a location shared in Telegram. People who handle them (surveyors, logistics staff, estate agents) convert them by hand or with online calculators and then copy the results into a spreadsheet.
We wanted that to happen where everything already is, in Telegram.
What we built
The bot runs on aiogram 3, the admin on Django with Jazzmin. A user sends coordinates as text or as a location, and the bot converts them with geopy.
Results accumulate and export to Excel or CSV via pandas and openpyxl. The interface is available in Uzbek, Russian and English.
Outcome
- 01Coordinate conversion between formats
- 02Accepts Telegram location shares
- 03Excel and CSV export
- 04Three languages: Uzbek, Russian, English
- 05Launched in 2025
