Biznesmarafon is a gamified business-education marathon. A bot with a mini app guides participants through quizzes, online and offline events, and awards points for all of it. About 6,700 participants.
Challenge
The organisers wanted people to finish the programme instead of dropping out after week one. Hence the game: points for knowledge, for showing up at events, for inviting friends, and prizes for the leaders.
Fairness mattered. Put prizes on a quiz and someone will try to cheat.
What we built
The bot runs on aiogram 3, the admin on Django 5. In quizzes, questions and answer options are shuffled per participant, so a screenshot forwarded to a friend is close to useless.
For offline events we built a mini app with a QR scanner: the participant shows a code, the organiser checks them in, and points are credited automatically. There's also a referral system, a leaderboard and prizes.
Broadcasts respect Telegram's rate limits, so the bot doesn't get throttled when messaging thousands of people.
